Guinness Book Of World Records 2011
One fine day in February 2011 I embarked on a trip across the Shannon up to Dublin for the Shave or Dye in the Style Club with Ray Darcy and the crew. This was all in aid of Cancer Care Ireland. On the day the challenge was to shave as many heads as we could as a team of ten in one hour. The team (seen over in the red t-shirts) came from a number of barber shops across the country. We broke the World Record by shaving 315 heads in 1 hour by a team of 10 barbers.
On the day Ian Dempsey dyed his hair orange, Matt Cooper went purple, Ray Foley and J.P. went green and blue and Ray D’Arcy had his chest waxed! This was accompanied by thousands of events that took place all across the country with everyone from primary schools to big corporations. Later that day I did a number of shaves in Intel Shannon who raised over 4k.
